This Andis trimmer is a decent buy and value. The manufacturer claims that they are good for dry shaving due to their extremely close-cutting blades, which I have found to be true to some degree. They won't give you a razor-quality closeness, but will indeed give you a reasonably close trim. If they bundled the attachment guards/combs with the razor they would have been a better value and of more use. As it stands, you are required to purchase the comb attachments seperately (which means roughly another $10 shipping charge on a $5 item). The trimmer seems to be of high quality overall, and runs cool for the first 10 minutes or so of use. In general, this is a pretty good trimmer, and although you could probably do better, you could also certainly do much worse.
