(More customer reviews)If you actually need all the stuff that comes with this kit then this is quite a deal. if you only need the trimmer, as I did, it was still a great deal since the price seems to have gone up since I bought it here. Bottom line on the trimmer is that it works quite well for a non-professional trimmer. A pro model with the length setting attachment on it will trim your beard with one pass. The salon has done that for me so I know. But those things are big and heavy and no way do I carry one around with me. This little thing runs on one AA battery and has lasted through several months of trimming without a new one. (I trim my beard about once every month or 2 so maybe 4 trimming sessions.) The attachment is a little bit of a challenge to figure out when it comes to mounting it on the trimmer but just follow the very brief instructions and it'll snap in place, and stay there. The staying there is the good part after my last trimmer where the attachment was very flimsy.
The trimmer requires multiple passes over my beard to remove 1-2 months growth but that's ok with me. It does not trim the edge of my mustache (without the attachment) quite as easily as my previous trimmer but again it is good enough. The amazing thing is the size. It seems quite solid and well built and hopefully will last a long time.
The nose trimmer seems to run fine though I have only inserted a battery and watched it. I still have a good Panasonic and no need to use this one. It is a bit noisy but rotates at high speed and looks like it should trim well.
The rest of the stuff in the kit appears well made and even for $20 the deal is truly a good one.
IMPORTANT: You must oil the trimmer before using the first time. Two drops onto the cutting edges with the trimmer held sideways and then turned on so that the vibration causes the oil to slide down across the width of the blades instead of straight down to the back of them and maybe into the motor. So far this initial oiling has lasted the whole 4 months or so. At first the trimmer is slow without the oil. It is necessary and is supplied.
