(More customer reviews)I have been using these clippers for about 25 years and have done probably about 10,000 sheep over that time. Certainly not a professional, but I know this machine. It has roller bearings in all of the right places and has a lot of power to get thru that last sheep when the cutter or comb is just about done and things get tough. I have had to replace the plastic plate which the head screws into to mount on the motor several times over the years, but they are cheap and it is not a difficult job to do. The key to long life is lots and lots of oil. On the blades and in the holes in the head between each sheep. I have used the shearmaster clippers when I first started and I used them for several years. They are good enough for someone who only does 4 or 5 sheep a year. But they do not have anywhere near the power that this clipper does. The shearmaster does not have much in the way of bearings in the head, only bushings and that makes a BIG difference in power.
