Besides the fact that red is my favorite color, the black on the exterior of the clippers is rubberized grip for extra grip and control. It certainly makes a difference in comfort and feel. I started to cut my hair just 3-5 minutes after washing it and the blades ran like champs against my hair with little need to keep going over the same spot time and time again. I love these clippers.
Only con, the cord could be a bit thicker for increased durability but other than that, no complaints.
